Winter Wonderland at the Four Seasons Jackson Hole

Four Seasons Jackson Hole

Are you looking for a romantic couples getaway in a winter wonderland? At the Four Seasons Jackson Hole, they’ve every aspect covered. Nestled in a snow-covered mountain valley, the Five-Star alpine Resort is surrounded by some of America’s most rugged peaks, adrenaline-pumping ski runs, and an amazing array of wildlife in nearby Grand Teton National Park.

Upon checking in, we arrived at our room and not only had a gorgeous view of the slopes but were greeted with a delicious fruit and cheese platter and a bottle of wine. Time to kick up our feet, relax, and get a good night’s sleep before heading out in the morning.

With plenty of TV to watch and waking up to make ourselves a cappuccino with the in-room Nespresso machine, we then headed down to the Ascent Lounge to fuel up before our morning ski. We indulged in the mouth-watering Eggs Benedicts and Huevos Rancheros each morning.

After our breakfast, we headed down to Base Camp, located on the lower level of the resort. We skipped the hassle of lugging our own equipment and opted to rent from their in-house, full-service, ski-rental shop. The Ski Concierge was happy to arrange all aspects of the equipment rental, as well as tuning, valet, storage and in-room boot fittings.

Once we were fitted with our boots and skis, it was literally 10 steps from Base Camp and the Ski Concierge to the lifts. The resort’s prime location takes ski-in-ski-out to a whole other level with their slopes-side location.

We skied all day with our instructor at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in an all-day lesson with the Mountain Sports School. We got to experience the all-new Solitude Station which is the Mountain Sports School hub. It provides a new center for learning and growing with a comfortable lodge environment that was ultra-modern and gorgeous with outdoor firepits and super friendly staff.

After the ski lesson, we came back to the resort for some rest and alone time. For us, that meant an oxygen infusion facial, soothing massage, and body ritual in the spa. After a long day on the slopes, we soaked in the year-round, heated pool and jacuzzi before having dinner at The Handle Bar. We truly enjoyed and indulged in the Smoked Bone Marrow with fermented chili, upland cress, and caperberries. This was the highlight of our meal, accompanied by their craft beers on tap.

Each morning we woke up an hour before the lifts opened and skied until they closed. There was so much fresh powder, it was a dream! On the 3rd day, we quit early and decided to head into town. We had 3 options: Rent a car, Call Uber or Lyft, or take the Start Bus. We opted to take the Start bus down and get a Lyft back. Partially because we forgot to check the schedule, and secondly, we didn’t want to wait in the cold. The Start bus is $3 each way, the Lyft home was $50. Planning does save money.

In town, we were told Bin22 was the place to grab lunch and a beer. Boy, were they right! We ordered a salumi and cheese platter consisting of san daniele prosciutto, coppa piccante, speck, truffle mortadella, and calabrese salami we could’ve survived on for days, not to mention the generous array of cheeses such as homboldt fog, first snow, and garrotxa. Because we just can’t say no to tapas dishes, we also had the house-pulled mozzarella with wild mushrooms, prosciutto, ricotta, cipolini butter, and a balsamic reduction.

After our meal, we took a much needed calorie-burning walk around Jackson. We saw the beautiful town square, straight out of a Hallmark movie. Each corner of the square has this beautiful archway, a perfect photo opportunity for a perfect trip.

We have been to many of The Four Seasons locations around the world, and Jackson Hole is one of their best properties. Our room was amazing and cozy with a fireplace and the view was breathtaking. Whether we wanted to be on the slopes, excursions for wildlife, or spending a day in the spa or just napping in bed, the experience here has it all. It was our perfect couple’s getaway in every sense. Once you are spoiled with the Four Seasons experience you just can’t stay anywhere else. The staff was so accommodating, yet in a very relaxed way. Jackson Hole is a truly magical place, and we can’t wait to return. Meet us in Fall in Jackson Hole, anyone?
